The constant flood of Certificate II installers across Australia has not only increased energy demands with poor installations and unsafe work environments,
it has also placed the HVAC&R industry in crisis with an estimated 32 new positions only predicted for the next 5 years.
Needless to say the plumbing and electrical trades continue to flourish.
The training system is so flawed that students are passing with little training, many limited to split systems.
Certificate II must go and training must be improved!
ARMA representatives attended the sessions and industry groups did not support
RPL or dual trade in the current framework as it is far too widely abused.
